Performance of Salat
No Exemption
Assalam o Alleyykum
[Peace be Upon You]
Allah created mankind to submit to Him (SWT) every moment of his life. There is a relation between Allah and every human being. Because of this relationship there has to be contact and communication between Allah and His (SWT) Bandahs (people). The mean of communication is performance of Salat and Iqamat as Salat .
Brothers and Sisters! When Bandah is in Iqamat as Salat he consciously or unconsciously seeking guidance from Allah to discharge his duties and responsibilities, search for the Bounties of Allah, honouring the rights of others which keep on emerging every moment of life.
Brothers and Sisters! Performance of Salat is exclusive presence before Allah where he presents his Iqamat as Salat i.e. deeds of his day to day life from Fajar to Zohar, Zohar to Asr, Asr to Magrib and Magrib to Esha.
Brothers and Sisters! If a Bandah does not perform Salat five times a day i.e. comes in the exclusive presence of Allah then technically the contact and relationship between Allah and Bandah is ended.
Brothers and Sisters! Let us try to understand this by a worldly example.
Brothers and Sisters! An employer commands his employees that they must come to present progress of their assignment after every two hours. So if any of the employees does not come in the exclusive presence of his employer then he has committed a crime and crime is punishable. Brothers and Sisters! The punishment can be that he will not be rewarded or may be fined or be fired.
Brothers and Sisters! Exclusive presence keeps contact intact even if he may not expend his day to day life in accordance with the Guidance of Allah and Teachings of Anbiyya e Karam (Prophets). Therefore, every Muslim is under obligation to offer Salat even he is sick and cannot move. In case of disabilities one can perform Salat by sitting or lying on bed.
Brothers and Sisters! Question arises why there is no exemption in performance of Salat?
-
Is it, because to keep ‘Greatness’ and Magnificence of Allah intact?
-
Is it, because Allah needs the effects and impact arising by the performance of Salat to preserve the system of the universe in intact form?
-
Is it, because forces which are prevalent between earth and sky, those are required to keep botanical, non botanical, animals in live form for the utilization of mankind that Salat to be performed under any circumstances?
Brothers and Sisters! In view of the context of following Hadith, the answer is that the performance of Salat is not necessary any of the aspects mentioned above:
Khatim ul Anbiyya Mohammed (SAW) said to the effect:
-
If each creation and atom of the universe prostrate before Allah for His (SWT) obedience and servitude, there shall not be a minutest increase in Allah’s Greatness and Magnificence.
-
If all the creations of the universe and each atom become disobedient to Allah there shall be no reduction, equivalent to a small particle in Allah’s Greatness and Magnificence.
Brothers and Sisters! The scholars have derives the imperativeness of performance of Salat five times a day is that it keeps Bandahs closer to Allah and even if they are not following the Guidance of Allah and Teachings of Anbiyya e Karam in their day to day life i.e. Iqamat as Salat, the continuous exclusive presence before Allah i.e. performance of Salat five times a day will, at some point in his life, will inspire him for Iqamat as Salat.
Brothers and Sisters! To appreciate the imperativeness of performance of Salat please try to understand the following questions and answers:

[Please read the features of the book under Link: No 8 Book As Salat]
Brothers and Sisters! The crux of the performance of Salat and Iqamat as Salat is that if one wants to be successful in the life Hereafter to live in Paradise forever then there is no exemption.
Brothers and Sisters! If we look with an Eagle Eye we will realize that how Merciful Allah is and how He (SWT) loves His (SWT) Bandahs to be successful in the life hereafter that He (SWT) has not granted exemption to perform Salat even if you are sick, cannot sit or you are bed bound.
Brothers and Sisters! However, there is exception that should one is not able to perform Salat with the time due for some reason then he can offer Qaza Salat.
Brothers and Sisters! You see how Merciful Allah is that He (SWT) has granted exception but no exemption.
May Allah be with You
Wass’a’lam
