Brothers and Sisters!     

Assalam o Alleyykum

    [Peace be Upon You]

Scientific  age has made the concept of Allah     controversial if Allah exists or does not exist. If He (SWT) exists then what is His (SWT) role in running the system of the universe and if He (SWT) does not exist then who is running the show i.e. nature  or mankind ?

Brothers and Sisters! The controversialality of the concept of Allah is not new. It has been in the human mind since he has been sent in this world  from Heavens to earth.

Why?

Brothers and Sisters! The perspective of ‘Why’ is concealed in Hadith e Qudsi. Allah told Mohammed Ibne Abdullah  (SAW):

I was a hidden Treasure.

I wished to be recognised.

So I created Jinn and Inss.

[Spirits and Mankind]

Brothers and Sisters! The scholars have deduced from the sentence ‘I wished to be recognised’ that Allah put the mankind under a test if he believes if Allah Exists or does not exist.

Brothers and Sisters! The Entity of Allah is in Ghaib  (Unseen). Science does not believe in invisibility. However, it will believe in invisibility if it can see an outcome. For example: environments help to grow plants in the land so it believes in invisibility. Water is combination of oxygen and hydrogen gases which are invisible but when these are mixed in appropriate ratios water comes into being.

Brothers and Sisters! Another sect which denies the existence of Allah is Philosophers. Aristotle   was a philosopher (384 BC – 322BC). He did not believe in the existence of Allah. In short, he formed the view that universe has been in existence forever. He supported his assertion by statement:

Something eternal is more perfect than something created.

Brothers and Sisters! You must have heard the name of Prof. Stephen Hawking who is physicist of this age and he also does not believe in the existence of Allah. As below is extract of one of his lectures:

This creation myth, like many others, tries to answer the questions we all ask:

·                Why are we here?

·                Where did we come from?

The answer generally given was that humans were of comparatively recent origin, because it must have been obvious, even at early times that the human race was improving in knowledge and technology. So it can’t have been around that long, or it would have progressed even more. For example, according to Bishop Usher, the Book of Genesis placed the creation of the world at 9 in the morning on October the 27th, 4,004 BC. On the other hand, the physical surroundings, like mountains and rivers, change very little in a human lifetime. They were therefore thought to be a constant background, and either to have existed forever as an empty landscape, or to have been created at the same time as the humans. Not everyone, however, was happy with the idea that the universe had a beginning, even at early times. that the

For example, Aristotle, the most famous of the Greek philosophers, believed the universe had existed forever.

He suggested the reason we see progress was that floods, or other natural disasters, had repeatedly set civilization back to the beginning. The motivation for believing in an eternal universe was the desire to avoid invoking divine intervention to create the universe and set it going.

Conversely, those who believed the universe had a beginning, used it as an argument for the existence of Allah as the first cause, or prime mover, of the universe.

If one believed that the universe had a beginning, the obvious question was what happened before the beginning? What was Allah doing before He made the world? Was He preparing Hell for people who asked such questions?

The problem of whether or not the universe had a beginning was a great concern to the German philosopher, Immanuel Kant. He felt there were logical contradictions, or antimonies, either way. If the universe had a beginning, why did it wait an infinite time before it began? He called that the thesis. On the other hand, if the universe had existed for ever, why did it take an infinite time to reach the present stage? He called that the antithesis. Both the thesis and the antithesis depended on Kant’s assumption, along with almost everyone else, that time was Absolute. That is to say, it went from the infinite past to the infinite future, independently of any universe that might or might not exist in this background. This is still the picture in the mind of many scientists today.

Brothers and Sisters! So the concept of existence of Allah is controversial since Day One.

Brothers and Sisters! There is another theory in respect of the creation of the universe i.e. Big Bang.

Brothers and Sisters! The Big Bang theory is that there was empty  space filled with different kinds of gases which had been roaming around for millions of years and there was a point when they got mixed in such a way that there was a Big Bang and this universe was created which consisted of sun, moon, stars, galaxies, planets etc. etc.

Brothers and Sisters! Let us try to prove rationally that Lone Entity of Allah exists.

Brothers and Sisters! Please consider the following:

·         No one can deny that there is vacuum between earth and sky. So this means when the Big Bang did not happen there was just a vacuum.

·         Scientists believe that there were many kinds of gases which were roaming around. This means that initially there was just vacuum so the gases originated from some source and started roaming around.

·         Anything which originates is a creation. So there has to be Creator.

·         Can anyone imagine that if nothing had been existence what would what it would have been like?

·         But no one can deny now because everyone can see everything with his own eyes.

Brothers and Sisters! As no one can imagine what it would have been like if nothing has been in existence then he has to admit that before anything came into existence then it was Lone Entity of Allah and there was no vacuum, no gases, no sun, moon, planet, galaxies and no Big Bang.

Brothers and Sisters! Allah being Aleem (Knower of everything) knew that the question will emerge in human mind as how Allah came into being so Allah has revealed the answer in the Qur’an:

Surah Al Hadid Ayat no. 3

He (Allah) is the First (nothing is before Him) and the Last (nothing is after Him), the Most High (nothing is above Him) and the Most near (nothing is nearer than Him). And he is the All- Knower of everything.

Brothers and Sisters! There is no answer to the question how the Entity of Allah originated. Anything originated is a creation not Creator.

Brothers and Sisters! Alhamdu’lillah (All Praises to Allah)! I am Muslim faith based. I believe in the Lone Entity of Allah and all the Anbiyya e Karam (Prophets) since Hazrat Adam (PBUH) to Khatim ul Anbiyya (Last Prophet) Mohammed Ibne Abdullah (SAW).

Brothers and Sisters! In short, Allah has assigned the duty and responsibility of Muslim Ummah to introduce, revive and promote Deen e Islam which is a Way of Life that can give success in this world and life hereafter.

Translation Surah Al Imran Verse no. 11

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

You [true believers in Islamic Monotheism, and real followers of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) and his Sunnah] are the best of people ever raised up for mankind; you enjoin Al-Maruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained) and forbid Al—Munker (polytheism, disbelief and all that Islam has forbidden) and you believe in Allah.

Brothers and Sisters! In fact Atheism has become a religion and it is being promoted where there are many forums one can see on www.youtube and there are many organisations and there is dialogue between believers and non believers.

Brothers and Sisters! John Humphrys is a BBC Radio 4 journalist based in England. You can see his profile on the Google.

Brothers and Sisters! John Humphrys conducted three interviews with scholars of Christianity, Judaism and Islam in the year 2006. I listened to these interviews and entered in correspondence with him. The name of the programme was: Humphrys in search of God. Brothers and Sisters! As the issue related at international level, with the Toffeeq (Help) of Allah I created an option: Humphrys in Search of Allah on website: www.callforpeace.org.uk.

Brothers and Sisters! I received a letter from John Humphrys in September 2007 where he advised me that he has composed a book: In God we doubt: Confession of failed Atheist.

Brothers and Sisters! I did not receive any reply from John Humphrys. Probably the letter may not have reached him as BBC Radio 4 is large organization.

CONCLUSION

Brothers and Sisters! The issue of existence of Allah will remain on the scene until the Day of Resurrection. However, everyone will know about the existence of Allah as soon as his soul will be taken out of his body and then he will see the scenes of life hereafter. For a non – believer it will be too late and he will have to face Anger of Allah forever. Brothers and Sisters! So far as the believer is concerned he will become sure about the existence of Allah. Initially he believed in the Lone Entity of Allah on the basis of knowledge but after the soul will be taken from his body he will see with his own eyes and this aspect has been revealed in the Qur’an:

Surah Al Takathur

بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم

The mutual rivalry (for piling up of worldly things) divert you,

Until you visit the graves   (i.e. till you die)

Nay! You shall come to know!

Again nay! you shall come to know!

Nay” if you knew with sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have been occupied yourselves in worldly things).

Verily you shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)!

And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight!

Then on that Day you shall be asked about the delights (you indulged in, in this world.
